Blair's Equine Rescue, Inc. believes your personal privacy is important. In keeping with this belief all personally identifiable information sent to Blair's Equine Rescue, Inc. will be kept confidential. We will only use your information to process your Adoption application or contact you to let you know the status of your Adoption application. All applicant information which does not result in an Adoption is deleted or stored in hard copy form as specified in the "File Storage" clauses.

• Name, Address, Phone Number and E-Mail: Identifies the responsible party we are entering into a business transaction / negotiation with and provides necessary contact and delivery information.
  
  
• Home Ownership, Landlord, Boarding and Reference Information: Is used to verify the stability of the environment an adoptive horse may be placed in. This information may also be used to contact a prospective adoptive horse owner in the event primary contact methods fail.
  
  
• All information received via our Online Adoption Application Form is transferred to hard copy file for processing and storage. Digital files are deleted.
  
  
• File Storage: Adoption applications are kept on file for a period of six (6) months. If an Adoption Application results in the adoption of a horse the file will remain active for a minimum of one (1) year. A file will be designated inactive, but will remain in storage once all terms and conditions of an adoption have been met.
  
  
• Statistical Information: Statistics gathered via "site-counter" services are used exclusively for site design analysis. Statistical information received is limited to link followed, domain used, browser version used, OS used, screen & color resolution per browser settings, time & date of visit and nation of origin (if available). The site-counter service we subscribe to does not communicate personally identifiable information to Blair's Equine Rescue, Inc. and to the best of our knowledge does not collect such information.

     While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to Blair's Equine Rescue, Inc and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. In addition other Internet sites or services that may be accessible through Blair's Equine Rescue, Inc have separate data and privacy practices independent of us, and therefore we disclaim any responsibility or liability for their policies or actions.

Children's Guidelines
     To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA, we will not accept any applications for adoption from any child, under the age of 14, without parental consent.
