Equine abuse can appear where you least expect it. It does not mean that their owners are bad people, they just may not be able to take care of them. Please... whether you're driving along a road, going to the store, on the way to or from a friend's home or a routine errand... be alert. If you should see a horse that "just doesn't look right" make a note of your location and as soon as possible contact us or your local Humane Society, county animal control agency or animal rescue organization. Do not worry if your report should turn out to be a "false alarm"... those things happen. We would rather have a nice drive out to visit a horse than have an abused or neglected horse go unnoticed or worse... unreported.
